Varsity Blues is one of my favorites. Kilmer is a heartless pos. Among those listed he is the runaway winner.
Hard to disagree, although it’s possible with Kilmer. A true villain needs to be one all the way through. Examples of “villains” in the OP that can’t be too bad, in my opinion:
- Johnny Lawrence (the whole “not a villain anyway” aside): guy congratulates Daniel at the end. A bad guy doesn’t do that.
- Drago: Appears humbled at the end of Rocky 4; nods in agreement during the “if I can change, and you can can change, everybody can change” speech
The following show no remorse and are therefore pure evil:
- Shooter McGavin
- Rachel Phelps
Kilmer seems to show a glimpse of regret at the end of Varsity Blues. Now…he’s a bad dude for 99.9999999999% of that movie, but perhaps there is a come to Jesus moment for him right at the end. Maybe.
I didn't see them as vilians. The shots of them looking on in disbelief after the match was a powerful statement.
