IMO, Better Call Saul is off to a better start than Breaking Bad. The entire first season of Breaking Bad was slow and boring. The 2nd season and until the finish was amazing. Cool to see Tuco and my buddy Gonzo already. I think we may see Jesse make an appearance, but I really doubt that we see Walt. Maybe Jimmy passes him on the street or something, but I don't think he will have any speaking lines. Can't wait to see more of Mike. He was one of my favorite characters from BB.

A lot of that was necessary exposition to really dig into the characters and set up the rest of the series. Better Call Saul is at an advantage there for a couple of reasons. First, we already know the Saul character so we just need to learn the Jimmy McGill part. Second, we're only really learning one character here, but BrBa was about Walt, Jesse, Skyler, Hank, etc.

And Gilligan has leeway to produce the TV show using the best writers and producers money can buy, thanks to the success of BrBa.

Every show has to find its stride after the intial first impression it makes. BrBa kept getting better and better, and as it picked up steam, the writing and production improved, too, as the network lent more resources to the cash cow.

BCS has the rare opportunity to skip right to the good stuff and not waste our time. To me, even though it is a completely different show than BrBa, it felt like it was just picking right up where we left off.

How does the chair get in front off the office door? Every time he opens his office door the chair is in the way, it is making me ponder.

Finally watched both episodes. I liked seeing how Jimmy got his confidence and how his brother told him to get his own identity.

I loved that scene with Jimmy and his Brother. You could see him kind of think. Bob Odenkirk is awesome. Just great.

Random question and I apologize if it's been asked but is this a show you could get into if you never watched Breaking Bad?

I haven't watched BB yet either, and I am watching this show. Since this is a prequel, maybe it will make BB that much better.

I would disagree. BB was made under the assumption you don't know certain things. Do you think Empire would have been better if you all ready knew Vader was Luke's father? Wait...spoiler alert!
