Sorry to say, I don't think you know what you are talking about on this one, I think they lost 1 player from a pretty great team last year, and Krueger is a stud coach...So is Oklahoma the surprise team of the year? For some odd reason I didn't think they were going to be any good this year. Or did I just totally not know what the h e double hockey sticks what I was talking about?
"There are two teams power ranked ahead of us, Jimmy..."

This is the part of your analysis I don't care for, trust me I share everyone's excitment but it has been 2 games, and we play in on of the deepest conferences in the nation..... Osu, Baylor and KSU (I know bad non-conference record and all) will play a part in this outcome, I also see TCU and Tech getting some big wins along the way to make this way more interesting....Not even going to worry about the rest of the teams.
Oklahoma seems like an up and down team to me. Some good wins but also some bad losses. i.e. KSU at home, Creighton, Washington has lost 3 straight to open Pac-12 play.
They are talented enough to bury you but don't seem to have focus at times.
I never say dethrone because KSU already dethroned them just a couple years ago to anyone who was paying attention.

They have pretty much everyone important back, with a big addition in Thomas.
I think KU will continue to get better, but Texas , not so much. Felix continues to be their go to guy, which in my eyes is a problem.
Hmmmmm. I assume you're referring to 2013 because in every other year of the last 10 KSU has finished behind KU. However in 2013 they did finish as Big 12 co-champion along with KU. KU and KSU played each other 3 times that season.
1-22-13 at Manhattan KU 59 - KSU 55
2-11-13 at Lawrence KU 83 - KSU 62
3-16-13 at Big 12 tourney KU 70 - KSU 54
KSU earned the right to claim the title of conference champion by finishing in a tie with KU, but it seems like a pretty big stretch to say that they dethroned us.
Kind of like us?

Good reasonable post here. I remember 2013 there was so much chatter from t-shirt KU fans about K-State not "really" being a Big 12 co-champion. Clearly, none of them remembered '05, '06, or '08.
In my opinion 4 of KU's 10 titles are sketchy at best:
2005, tied with OU and went 0-1 against them
2006, tied with UT and went 0-1 against them
2008, tied with UT and went 0-1 against them
2013, tied with KSU, including KU's gift win at Hilton
You're correct as far as the regular season goes, but there is some supplemental information.
In 2006 KU lost to UT in the regular season, but then went on to defeat them in the Big 12 tournament 80-68. So, we were actually 1-1 against UT in 2006.
In 2008 KU lost to UT in the regular season, but then went on to defeat them in the Big 12 tournament 84-74. So, we were actually 1-1 against UT in 2008.
I don't know why the Big 12 has pushed the "One True Champion" thing so hard because the conference has always recognized co-champions since its inception. There is no reason for us to label any team as "not a real champion" when they have earned the right according to the conference.
Conference tournament isn't really a tiebreaker for the conference title. They award the regular season conference championship before the tournament even starts.
I agree about the "One True Champion" thing though; I don't mind having co-champions and I think KU has the right to claim 10 in a row (so my earlier post calling them sketchy was worded poorly), but I was commenting on some KU fans in 2013 who said K-State didn't deserve it then.
