3-5 teams. So that leaves 3 schools out. Do they know something? KU and ISU to the big ten and WVU to the ACC? The other 5 to the AAC and getting them in now? Wishful thinking I guess.

I'm wondering that too. We can only hope so.

I imagine that ESPN had plans lined up to get West Virginia to the ACC (ESPN owned) with Notre Dame full time, and load the AAC (ESPN owned) up with as many former Big 12 members as they could which would 1. raise the value of the AAC overall while 2. lowering the rate for the 3-5 schools they were going to add to the AAC. This is on top of adding OU/Texas to the SEC to raise the value of their SEC deal.

Bottom line: ESPN very clearly tried to kill the Big 12 (and likely succeeded) and could be heavily punished. This is why the remaining 8 members are showing solidarity

(also, why tf would they want to go to the AAC?)

Dave Bautista is in a new Disney bundle (Hulu, Disney+ & ESPN+) ad that I saw on Twitter. At one point he was talking about watching football. What's interesting is that they showed him watching it on his laptop and it consisted of two short clips of ISU.
I saw that too! And the other team the ad showed was Bama.

Im also concerned for the safety of OU and Texas fans in opposing stadiums

Simple solution: don't show up the next few years. Ordinarily I don't condone violence, and I'm not doing it here, either, but their schools made the beds that their fans will have to sleep in for as long as UT and OU remain in this conference.

I doubt that we would have been 1 of 4 schools to go to the American honestly. They would take WVU, KU, OSU, and a school in Texas (I’ll guess Tech). TCU, Baylor, K-State, and us to the Mtn West. ESPN to the bank… if this never leaks and ultimately succeeded
