What's anticipated now for allocations at each weight since most guys are done now till the big 12s?Allocations are released this Thursday and brackets won't be until sometime next week, probably Friday night or Saturday morning.
I’d rather see Schwarm. Mackall should be able to beat him if he wrestles smarter than last time. Not sure I saw a path to victory against Montoya.I think matchup could play a big part in placings at Big 12's?
Looking at 125,
Picc will by #1, then Fleetwood at #2
Then not sure
Schwarm, Verner, Montoya in some order, then maybe Mackall.
So if Mackall is #6, that means he gets #3 in quarters.
Do you want Montoya or Schwarm?
Mackall will beat Schwarm on his feet, but mat wrestlng is the question
Montoya is a little more solid in all positions
Is it known what Oklahoma State is doing with the shuffling of their upper weights? Who is wrestling where at the Big 12?
Thought I heard on the broadcast yesterday that Rogers is going to challenge Jacobe Smith at 74. Sounds like 65 will be JoJo.Not sure, but Joe Smith was not in the lineup against Iowa. Not sure if that's a product of the weight cutting plan or what. Still sounds like they plan to get Smith down to 74 and put Greer in at 84 from what I've seen.
They said yesterday that Smith weighed in at 178 pounds so I believe that is correct. Not sure, but Joe Smith was not in the lineup against Iowa. What I heard is that the earliest he could possibly get down is at the Big 12 tournament due to the descent rules.Craziness. Maybe someday Dresser and Co. will have to deal with that kind of problem. "Hmmm, which All-American do we plug in here?"
Have you heard if Jo Jo is down to 65 yet? Just wondering if he's still cutting or if they didn't want to toss him to The Bull quite yet.

The only benefit I see is that they have a better chance of a national champ with Jo at 65. Jo is probably outside the top 3 at 74.I think Ok State will be
165 - Joe Smith.
174 - Jacobe Smith
184 - Dakota Geer
197 - Preston Weigel
This could backfire big time on Ok State. Weigel could get hurt and the cut to 165 for Joe Smith could really hurt his performance.
I really don't see the benefit of the changes at 165 & 174.
Geer is a 184 pounder, so let him challenge Ja Smith at 184 and able to go back up if Weigel gets hurt again,
How many projected allocations at 25?

There are potential finalists at 25, 33, 65, 97, and hvy with this new configuration. Wonder how that would compete with PSU? Probably gives them their best shot to go for a title.
I'll take a crack at it.
Based on latest Coaches Panel and RPI, I'd guess the following:
These 5 for sure will get an allocation:Since the Coaches Panel and RPI were released, Schwarm beat Mackall, so that will probably solidify Schwarm's allocation. My guess would be 6 allocations for the conference when all is said and done, but what do I know?
Two maybes:
- Piccininni (Ok St)
- Fleetwood (ND St)
- Montoya (N Colo)
- Verner (Wyo)
- Mackall (Iowa St)
- Schwarm (UNI) - 26 in Coaches and 26 in RPI
- Flores (Air For) - 27 in Coaches and 24 in RPI
Would be interested in hearing other's thoughts as I'm no expert.
