WVU was picked to tie for 6th in the preseason poll; finished tied for 4th.

ISU was picked 5th; finished tied for 2nd.

I believe Royce White, Will Clyburn, and DeAndre Kane had a three-year streak going for Iowa State with NOYs.

IMO, since McKay won Defensive Player of the Year, they gave the Newcomer of the Year to Thomas.

The huggy as COY was sort of a surprise. I don't get it.

Hoiberg returned Niang, Long, Morris, & Hogue who all played a ton of minutes last year.

Huggins returned Staten. What Huggins did with his team is nothing short of a miracle.

Self has the best players in the conference and wins like he's supposed to. If he went 16-2 to win it that's one thing but 14-4 is ok.

Drew has a ton of talent but can't figure out how to put it all together for a full regular season.

Kruger has a ton of talent but couldn't figure out how to beat Kansas State.
