Sounds like NIU has a lot of experience returning on offense. Meanwhile, we're breaking in 3 new faces at LB (only 2 if we run a 4-2-5) and some new D-line. We better be ready to go come fall because there's not a lot of time for on-the-job training this year.

He's got a valid point. Northern Illinois is not a bad team at all, and they are the heavy favorites to win their conference. ISU will probably have to have a solid game to beat them.

While I hope we won't lose that game, honestly, I wouldn't be completely surprised if we do. I wouldn't think it was the end of the world though.

If anything, a commanding victory would give me a lot of confidence going into the season because NIU is no pushover team.

Of course there is a risk of losing this game. While everyone is crying about the tough schedule
    ,
I'm excited about it.

If we think we're good enough to be in this conference, then bring it on. Otherwise, we should be moved down to the MWC. Let Florida and Texas play their crappy non-conference schedules.

…and that would be good for the Big 12 how?

I alway try and root for big 12 teams along with you

but here in Houston the Kansas fans moved up a huge notch during the ISU/Nebraska game when no joke there where at least a hundred Huskers, me and one other Clone watching the game at a bar they came in at half and were helping the two of us by rubbing salt in every one of their wounds by the non-stop cheering and hollering. Best time I have ever had watching the Clones (On TV)

These are the same high-speed individuals that thought NDSU had a good chance to upset ISU last year. Just a bunch of talking heads.

The problem with this schedule for a rebuilding program is that we will have to hit the ground running and can have no letdown game the whole year, because there is no gimme on the schedule. Not a good situation for a rebuilding program, but the flipside is that there's also great opportunity. If we can get to 500 or above this year it will be a great accomplishment and if AA has the kind of year I think he's capable of having, we have a good chance.

Western Kentucky's mascot is called "Big Red"?

So I can say:
In week #1 (NU vs WKU), Big Red is going to get his *** kicked.

All I can say is NIU's defense better show up ready to go because Arnaud, Money, A-Rob, and company are going to be ready to work those guys over in a bad way.

This is the correct response.

Further down they say the Arch Rivalry (mizzou/illinois) is conference's best named rivalry. Perhaps they've not heard of this brand new manufactured rivalry know as Farmaggedon?

Farmaggedon is far better then Arch Rivalry. :notworthy:
