Shows again why he is worthless. Why challege that play? It was obviously a catch

He had a chance to challenge the AP TD and he didn't do that (almost cost them), and than he does this?

There was never any doubt it was a catch. That's the thing. I have never seen a worse challenge in my life

Worst in the history of instant replay...last weeks non challenge that gave them a TD was 2nd worst in the history of instant replay. Then he throws his QB under the bus in a press conference. This guy is an idiot.

Hahaha the ball never came within a foot of the ground. I bet Minnesota fans are glad Favre saved Childress' job last year.

Is a terrible coach. Not sure why he hasn't been fired yet. The only good thing about this diasater of a season is he will get the boot soon. What a waste.

The Vikings have been in every game this year and easily could have won each....and this include tough, tough road games against the Saints, Jets, Packers, and Patriots. Face it, that is brutal. These would all be rough games it home...let alone on the road.

It would be easier for me to give up on Chilly if they were getting blown out, but they are not. It doesn't make me any happier to lose close games but is Chilly's coaching causing the D-line to suddenly forget how to sack the opposing QB?

I don't know....I just know I'm not happy....don't believe this is all on Chilly.

It isn't all Chilly; something is wrong with the team. It's as if all the good karma and luck the team had last year is doing a 180 this year. I agree with the post above that the team has been in every game but for whatever reason can't pull out the win.

The defense has it share of the blame. The pass rush has been almost non-existent the last several games. Even today, after the Vikings scored to narrow it to 3 points, the defense let the Patriots march down the field (much of it running the ball right down their throats). Very few forced turnovers as well.

Horrible coach, that team is loaded with talent, horrible replay-job today and stupid not to take the FG before the half. ALWAYS take a lead at half when on the road...Childress and Wade Phillips are two guys who shouldn't have jobs...

Childress seems lost. His play calling is very questionable at times. I still don't get how he doesn't challenge that Packers TD last week. Randy Moss went off on the coaches not listening to him about what the Patriots might do after the game. He also dissed Childress for not kicking the FG at the end of the first half and praised the Patriots organization. Moss doesn't seem to do well on losing teams. The Vikings are really missing Sidney Rice and Chester Taylor. Taylor was a great back for pass protection and on 3rd down catches. The defense can't sack anyone or create the big plays.

I'm to the point where I dont care anymore about pro sports. It seems like they are rigged. Many calls this year and last year went against the Vikes. This team kind of reminds of Texas. So much talent but they just seem like they dont care and want it enough. It is so refreshing to sit down and watch the Cyclones every Saturday. They play hard every down and exceed everyone's expectation despite having little talent. Hard work and desire>An abundunce of talent.

The Viking defense isn't the issue. The other side of the ball however...and that starts with the guy calling the plays. If his play calling isn't bad enough, the fact that he's completely lost control of his team isn't good. If that isn't bad enough, his record using challenges makes Chizik's record here look dandy. He can give Wade Phillips a run for his money for worst coaches in the NFL.

Not a big fan of Childress either, but the challenge I am sure came from up in the coaches booth upstairs. Ya, it is his ultimate decision, but he has to rely on his coaches upstairs to make the decision.

I agree the team is a trainwreck right now as well.

Coaches Coach, Players Play....

Childress has improved this team every year since he has been there, got them to the title game last year, sure he does not deserve all the credit, but he should not shoulder all the blame. He is in charge, but at some point the guys getting their *** kicked on the field need to perform up to their abilities.

Maybe bring back Mike Tice, we can get on the love boat and sell our super bowl tickets together....?
