Just read the Q&A and I can't agree more with what Mac said concerning Dendy. It is Dendy's personal business and if the staff is okay with him taking care of personal business then everyone needs to butt out. It is a shame the guy can't take care of his family/personal life without everyone getting their panties in a bunch. It isn't our business

I agree with McD, but I am not interested in Dendy's personal life. I was interested in him leaving the team, regardless of the circumstances. I'm glad he's back but my interest in the situation was strictly as it related to the basketball team.

Exactly!

Especially, since it seems that often when a guy leaves town for "personal" or "family" reasons they never return.

They can say it's nobody's business, etc. but that's just a horrible cop out. I don't think we need to get too personally indepth on these college kids, but can't be surprised people want to know. When people spend money to go to games that in turn pays for your scholarship, salary, etc., they're going to want to know what's up. It's called news, it's been around before any of us. Saying "it's nobody's business" is like saying "I know you are but what am I?"

When you accept the scholarship, want fans there for the good things, want fans to follow you on Twitter or Facebook, want fans to care when you move on the to the NBA, then you have to accept fans also caring when you do something bad or fans caring when you might leave the team.

Since Dendy didn't miss a game I don't think it was our business. If a game was missed a little more disclosure might have been appropriate.

The coach can do whatever he wants as long as it's within policy.

I can never understand that you people feel entitled becuse you put a nickel in the jar. I can feel for the interest, but this sense of entitlement just screams spoiled rich kid.

When you go to walmart, do you spend your money on your miley sirus cd and instanly feel entitled to know why bobby the stocker called in sick last night?

YOu buy a product. You don't purchase slaves or own the program. Its nice to show interest, but personal means personal. Maybe next time I go to your place of business I'll make sure I know why you were out, just because I bought a product that supports your busness one time.

And you can look up how to spell Miley's name while you're here. We have the interwebs.
It isn't about entitlement, it's about news. It's the way of the world.

Once again, I don't care why he left. I only care that he left.

Exactly. If he didn't come back then it's news. But he did. He missed what 2 days of practice? It's nobody business but his own. There is no news there because he came back.

If he left and he had permission to leave then it is none of our business. It isn't news. The people that need to know why he left know why he left. What's next we need to know the teams bowel movements?

In the meantime, because people didn't know why, they assumed the worst, like true ISU fans always do. They made accusations and freaked out.

Really it is none of our business unless he doesn't come back. People just freak out about every little thing and do not have PATIENCE to wait to find out what is really going on. Look at how many people got their panties in a bunch for no reason at all. None.

As far as it being news... before message boards this would have been a non issue. NON ISSUE because no one would have known that he left town except those that need to know and close friends. So NO IT HASN'T BEEN AROUND BEFORE ALL OF US.

Lot of "ifs" in there. If the airplane wasn't invented he would have had to drive home and it would have taken forever.

He put it on Facebook and Twitter. Unless it's since been deleted you can go read it. He made it public. I didn't hear it on here I heard it from him; then came here to see what people thought.

He said. "Need to go take care of my business" or something of the sort. Come on!! Like that is making it public.
