Brian Kelly has had a lot of students die under his watch, there was the kid during practice that fell, and now they're allegations that a cover up of sexual assault led to the victim committing suicide.

Notre Dame Fighting Irish coach Brian Kelly mum on allegations against player - ESPN Chicago

I've been trying to find on the internet the other similar allegations that he has had against him, anyone know if it was at Cincy, CMU, or Grand Valley State where he allegedly help cover up a murder that was committed by one of his players?

When asked why Kelly, who has the authority to suspend any player in violation of team rules -- egregious or otherwise -- never suspended the player, he deferred to school officials.

"If someone was late for a meeting, the university would not deal with that," he said. "That would definitely fall on the shoulders of the head coach. Anything that the article alleges would be a university matter. So, that process is in place and, you know, the process is to dispel rumors and disinformation and get to the facts. That's what our university is doing.

"I can tell you what I believe as a parent, I can tell you what I believe as a football coach and, you know, the commandments that we have are very, very important. I've been a head football coach for 20 years and I can tell you emphatically that I want the right kind of guys. And those values are important to me and they've been the cornerstone of everything I've done in my football program. And I will continue to do that here at the University of Notre Dame."

Is the problem waiting to suspend the player, or just flat out deferring the decision to the university?

I'll hold out judgement on this one. Allegations of sexual assault are very serious, but it doesn't look like it's being covered up or anything, just playing out until charges are either filed or not filed.

Here's a Tribune write-up on it, to me this goes beyond Kelly to the entire administration at Notre Dame. It's hard to say what his role is, but I'm guessing it's powers higher up that are driving this bus.
Most likely. That's my opinion too.

So happy that guy didn't get hired at ISU.

Remember a lot of fans from schools he had coached at chiming in that he is a win at all or any cost sort of coach, and not in a good way. Doesn't sound like he is the sort of guy you want mentoring young impressionable men.

So he is a perfect fit at the premier faith-based university in this country.
