A coach should have a feel by the middle of the third quarter, whether or not his offense can pick up a third or fourth and one by running between the tackles. By watching more than a half of football, they should know how his offensive line is performing relative to the defense. Is the OL controlling the line of scrimmage or is it getting pushed around? If the OL is not winning the line of scrimmage, then they should start thinking about Plan B. It would be nice if we could over power other teams and convert all third and ones, but we can not. We did not do it against NDSU or KSU.
