Watching my son play in a baseball tournament in southern Missouri. Before that try to catch on shows from Austin City Limits 2018.

Trying out my hand at baking today. Never made bread before, and have seen some videos on making sourdough. Got excited to try, so here we are.

First shot at a sourdough today, with some golf in there during the long wait periods. Pretty excited!

This is what you should be doing if you are not combining corn or beans

9 holes of golf at 10, followed by lunch, a quick nap, and then watching the Huskers find new ways to go down in a close one. Unless a good evening game is on, I will probably do a test drive with the latest distro of Lubuntu--18.10. That's about all the excitement and old man can handle for one day!

Not only are we off, but 6 total Big 12 teams have an off week. Kind of sucks. I guess I’ll have to watch SEC football

Relax, you got it. Make sure you take a few mental health days before the exam.

What discipline?

I'm taking the Civil PE with Transportation depth. My undergrad was in Agricultural Engineering but I recently completed my Master's in Civil, which lead me into my current position in highway design.

I've completed a review course, so I just need to do a bunch of practice problems now. I'm mostly worried about the afternoon questions that I have little experience with. I took a practice exam last week, which did OK on. Once I have done more problems I'll feel a lot better. I do feel more confident now than I did a few weeks ago.

Super lazy so far. All I've done is make coffee and surf the news and check out CF. Supposed to be painting living room baseboards.

Good thing the Gophers are playing in Lincoln...wind is blowing like crazy here in Mpls. NWS says "breezy", I do not concur. Wind gusting to 36 mph is windy, not breezy.

Good luck. I took mine 5 years ago (construction emphasis). If you think you might need a book, just take it with you. I had one question on my exam that I missed because I was missing a book (it literally told me to look up something in ACI SP-4 and I forgot to bring that one with me).

It blows my mind that they make us bring all of these references to the exam, and not just provide reference tables within the exam itself to reference as necessary. There's like 14 Civil/Transportation references. Many of them are hundreds of pages and several of them are over a thousand pages each.

Very few engineers use printed copies of a lot of those references anymore, too. It's so much easier to search via PDF, and also make sure your reference is up to date by keeping it digital.

Not to mention that several of the references are hundreds of dollars a piece. I'm lucky enough to have an employer who will purchase what I need but I feel for those that don't!
