I was at school when Shudak was there and confer with all others that he was a great player for ISU. Adding another Shudak to the roster can be nothing but good if he's anything like his old man.
I was going to bring this up as well. He was the best onside kicker I ever saw. Remember that play they used to run where he'd pooch it to the side and they'd catch it in the air? Onside kick without it ever touching the ground and it seemed he could almost do it at will. The Caveman (Shudak) was also great at onside kicks. His son continuing in dads legacy at ISU would be a great story
I remember the rumor that he used to practice by lining up dead straight on to aim to hit the upright at PAT distance. So basically he could kick it so accurately he could actual doink it off the vertical upright.
In the 54 yarder he made the other night he had plenty to spare. Got a standing ovation from the Dowling crowd. All his kickoffs were well out the back of the endzone.
There was a great ISU kicker? And he had a kid? Has he been offered a scholarship yet?
Last update I got was that he was leaning between Iowa and Minnesota unfortunately.
He also may have been the best tackler on the kickoff team. The Caveman (Shudak) was also great at onside kicks. His son continuing in dads legacy at ISU would be a great story
