We clearly are seeing he has some recruiting and program promoting skills. What do people know about his Gameday/game calling skills? Trying keep my excitement in check but it keeps getting harder....

Seems like the type of guy that isn't afraid to take chances. Whether that translates to things like fourth downs, fakes, or going for two, we'll have to see. Toledo fans could answer this question.

I wouldn't mind seeing Iowa St take a more proactive approach toward 2 point conversions. I'd like to see them draw up some creative ways to get 2 and half yards, if it means 1 extra point towards their total.

I hope he brings a hell of a lot more than ways to get two points instead of one.....

Well, he mind****ed Rhoads into mind****ing Netten into missing a kick last year, so he's pretty good.

He said that he is going to make plays to fit the cyclones, so it could be different then he used in Toledo. I have also read articles on how he like players to be versatile so that the other team won't know what to expect, for example having a TE that can run, go deep, or block instead of one that can only block.

2016 is definitely going to be a down season. Hope Matt just goes all out with play calling, like never punting!! HAHA. Cant wait for 2017 to see his real potential....

Too soon!

Definitely not too soon. The day after it happened isn't too soon for such a stupid coaching move IMO. Same goes for the end of the KSU game too. I love Paul Rhoads the person, but as a head coach he made some really unforgivable coaching decisions. He only has himself to blame for losing this job.
