There have been some rumblings here in StL about sending Dunc down to Memphis for a few weeks now, and it looks like TLR and Mo finally pulled the trigger on it.

STLtoday - Mather up, Duncan down

I wonder if Mather will be in the line-up tonight. It'd be cool to see him in the line-up tomorrow too (since I'll be there).

Agreed. I never woulda thought 3 months ago that Mather would be the first AAA OF call-up, but it's good to see nonetheless. Hopefully Dunc can find his swing playing everyday.

Hopefully Colby Rasmus can find his swing at AAA too. I never thought I'd say this, but the Cards have a glut of quality outfielders.

A VERY good problem to have. On a very interesting side-note...I think I live 4 doors down from one of them (#24 for those of you who might care). I haven't been able to confirm this yet, but that's what one of my neighbors told me. She apparently got his autograph. If/when I confirm this, I'll let y'all know.

Ha, yeah, I bought his jersey this year, then like a week later my neighbor told me about meeting him. I spent the summer of '05 in Davenport and made it to 3 or 4 Swing games that summer and it seemed like every time I went he would hit at least one jack. I've been watching his come-back ever since. Pretty amazing story, and really amazing if he does indeed live 4 doors down...

Throw a party, and invite him, when you know the Cards don't have a game. It would be awesome if he came.
(by party, I mean subdued, get to know my neighbors party, not a kegger) on second though, you could throw a kegger, and if he came, take pics and sell them to a tabloid.:wink:jk

Mather has been scorching the ball down there. Duncan needs to see 4-5 ABs each night to get his stroke back, and he won't get that with all the good outfielders the Cards have right now. Ryan Ludwick entered the week leading the majors in slugging percentage.

I agree that Mather is not the one I thought would be called up first. I hope we don't ruin Colby Rasmus like we ruined Anthony Reyes.
