So I'm new to the website...

I am constantly seeing posts with apparently explicit language but the words are always censored. Someone apparently dropping an F-Bomb and it shows up as "****". So my question is, are the guys that use this language censoring themselves or does this site have some sort of censoring system that allows you to type words out but then censors them before posting?

I traditionally avoid using offensive language, but I'm curious if there is a system for censorship on the boards. Thanks.

Auto censor. There are just certain words that will show up with * in place of the letters.

There is a filter that automatically masks offensive language. If you see words that are not in the filter and are on the site, please report them so we can get them filtered. Thanks.

Most explicit language is in the language filter, so if you type the word, it will show up as *s when you post.

The list is pretty long due to the numerous common ways to spell the same things, but overall the list is equal to what you would see on network tv. We try to be a family site.

If anybody is interested, attached is a list of the current censors.

What I found interesting is that with certain words there are multiple spellings blocked, ****-blocked if you will. Sorry, had to test it.

I think it's interesting that you chose to censor the anatomically correct names for parts of the male and female genitalia.

While I don't see any need to use those words on this website, they are technically on the same level as say, "foot" or "arm".

You really think that arm and "male anatomy term redacted" are technically the same? o.....k....... While I have no problem if my 10 year old spends a lot of time googling arm and leg, I'll have some words with him when he starts googling "male anatomy term redacted". That's the difference.

The internet can be a dangerous place. However, I hope that if your 10 year old does have some curiosity about his Johnson, he doesn't have to use Google to learn about it.

And since I brought up genitals...
