I think they are poor considering that Arizona has jumped in on his recruiting. He sounds like a recruit with stars in his eyes, and Arizona has much for to offer someone like that.

what evidence makes you think he has stars in his eyes? and what in your opinion does arizona have that we dont. or are you referring solely to climate?

I go to school in arizona, not U of A, but the girls down there are just a smidget hotter than the cornfed ladies we got home. I hate to admit it but its true.

Chances are really good. Dunson was one of his best friends at Brewster, and Brackins is a good friend that's always whispering in Negedu's ear about ISU. We'll certainly be one of his final choices.

I don't know our chances but I think we should be a fairly atractive place to go to considering about any capable big man will get good minutes right away with our lack of depth there.

I don't have any evidence. Just hunches and assumptions.

As to what Arizona has that we don't? NBA All-Star alums and NCAA championship rings? Or do you mean other than that?

no that answers my question. i would have to disagree though...i think what they had years ago doesnt play too much into it now. they just dont seem to have that amazing history to me. yeah they have a couple championships and a couple alum but, i guess it just doesnt seem all that impressive. its not recent enough. they havent had much for a while now.

Just because we are in his top three, doesn't mean that all three teams are equally liked by him.

He may be leaning 90% Arizona, 5% Iowa State and 5% Iowa. There you go, all in the top three. Doesn't necessarily mean anything that we are in the top three.

Don't get your hopes up.

Arizona hasn't just suddenly 'jumped in' with recruiting him.

Arizona was the very FIRST team to go after him when he came to the states. They've been wanting him from the very start, longer than anyone else.

We can almost promise him that he can start.

"We can almost promise him that he can start."

Sorry, don't buy that. Not next year anyway. We have Jiri and Thompson in the paint as Center. Pencil in for Brackins as PF. SF? Try wesley and Rashon. Sorry, no room for Negedu as we can't "promise" him he will start. Yeah, its bad for recruiting him but good for ISU as we will have a lot of talent in the front court and their will be lots of competition on the floor for getting minutes.

How highly rated in Negedu? I don't think ratings mean everything, but it is good for reputation and prestige to get highly ranked recruits, if nothing else. Is he Top 100? 75?
