My contribution to the pointless :) thread:

I saw Barkley play in both college (Auburn) and the NBA (76ers) back in the awesome '80s.

In the Auburn game @ LSU, he stole the ball at mid-court from LSU guard John Tudor. Tudor would normally hard-foul anybody to stop an easy lay-up, but he didn't even try to foul Barkley on this play. He just let him go to the hoop and slam dunk that ball without risking his own life and limb.

The 76ers game was @ the Washington Bullets, and the battle between Charles and Moses Malone was fun to watch. Those two were not afraid to bang around in the lane!

Nobody was back then...it was the golden age of the NBA.

I heard today's interview driving home from the gym and couldn't stop laughing. Almost wrecked my truck when he said {paraphrasing}, "When I'm going down, I wanna take one last trip to Vegas, take all my money, gamble it and give away the rest instead of leaving it to my greedy-ass family." Classic Chuck.

I heard he was considering an Alabama gubernatorial run at one point. He should absolutely do it. He is the best.

He's a lot smarter and more well informed than their football coach senator who had no political experience.

That crew is the best on TV. Hilarious, give good basketball insight, can have serious and intelligent discussions without being too serious with each other and Ernie is the best of the best for holding it all together and pushing it forward

Really like that crew during the NCAA Tournament.

One of my all time favorite athletes. Plus the fact that he was a good guy that tried to portray himself as a bad guy. I always enjoy listening to him talk.

Not really Barkley related neccesarily but this is the best moment of all time from that show just for Shaqs reactions.

I hate the NBA but this is the funniest show on television, hands down. And it's not just the TV personalities but also the producer (Tim Kiley) and the video/production team. The photo shops and edits they do on the show are second to none.

These are probably two of my favorites. Chuck has at least 3 kids and obviously never changed a diaper? That was my favorite for the longest time but the bracelet story might have overtaken it. So many great moments on that show to chose from.
