Well, obvioisly. Those were lonely times as a Cyclone fan.You still had the second-rate university. That probably should have been point number 1.

Wut?
I've never heard that one either. Of course I hear "ATM machine" and "PIN number" all the time. It's either $5 or 5 bucks. $5 buck makes me think of a deer worth $5.
Is a $5 buck an Iowan thing, too?
Up around Mason City to Osage to Cresco to Decorah and surrounding areas, everyone up here I know has had or heard of it. Most schools in this area that I know of have done it I think. Some people do it at home, but it was always at school. Lot of German and Scandinavian ancestry up here. The eastern half of Iowa idea seems to make sense, my hometown is Aplington, which is about 25 miles west of Cedar Falls. Perhaps it's also an ethnic thing? The area I grew up is very strong German, with the majority of the residents descended from the North Sea area of Germany what they call Ostfriesland. Growing up, we also had fund raisers called chili/ oyster suppers, where people had the choice of chili or oyster stew. Never have cared for oyster stew.
