As a Broncos fan, I love this. If I were a Chiefs fan I'd be scratching my head... why trade a young stud CB with a small cap hit? Fuller/Peters would have been a hell of combo.

Interested to see what the return might be.

Well if they got anything close to the deal they got for smith, I’m ok with it. Peters is only as good as his brain will let him be.

There’s rumors that peters is a head case and the chiefs were trying to trade him for awhile.

As a broncos fan, this means Talib is more likely to not get cut.

Those aren’t rumors.

Not sure I like this as a Chiefs fan. He is a head case and has issues, but he is dang good. Will all depend on the compensation.

They must be tired of his antics or he's become a cancer in the locker room is the only thing I can think of why they are doing this. Talented young player but sometimes lets his emotions get the worst of him and does and says some stupid things that cost the Chiefs in some games this year. Curious to see what they get back, at the very least hopefully a high round draft pick or combo of picks and possibly a player that fills another need on the roster. I thought they got a good return on trading Alex Smith and not only did they get cap relief, a good draft pick but also a solid and low cost player at a position they needed help at for an aging QB they could no longer afford. Hopefully the Rams offered them something up that they were not expecting and this is why they are moving forward with the deal?

Just parroting what I've heard on sports radio (no insider info), but he's often portrayed as being a great talent with a difficult persona that really didn't want to be in KC. I don't think anyone is questioning his talent, but if the coaches can't reach him, their best bet is to dump him while he's still valuable.

Peters was in the last year of his contract, chiefs decided not to go after the 5th year option.

Can't blame them. They still had him for cheap, and SHOULD (LOL) get something good in return.

He's said to have gotten into it with Reid before and we've seen his antics on the field.

It reminds me of a patriots move, honestly.

Chiefs are gonna go to 8 of the next 16 Super Bowls. Can’t wait.

As a chiefs fan I am ok with this, he is a basket case and when you actually watch film on him, he doesnt tackle. There are a lot of big plays that he gives up because he wont wrap up and hit someone. most of his picks are coming off of his man or overthrow. now saying that I hope they get something good for him and not just trading him to trade him.

He loves the sidestep strip move. Fumble or huge play.

I understand the antics and attitude concerns, but it's not like you can't win with those types of guys. I see Peters as being much like Aqib Talib... headcase but all-pro talent that can be a critical part of a championship level defense. Some guys are worth the hassle.

Word is that Josh Jackson is #1 on draft board.
Not sure if you are kidding or not, but the Chiefs don't currently have a 1st round pick.

If they get a first round pick from LAR, it will be 23rd.

Don't think JJ makes it to pick 23 (they could trade up obviously).
