Chris Colvin commitment

With the CFH commitment thread which included a few Fizer stories, I'd always wondered how we got Colvin out of Chicago.

A top 100 (99th overall) prospect, and top 15 PG in the country out of Chicago, with no prior recruiting ties to that city? I'd heard that Chicago is a shaddy recruiting area with a lot of handlers. This player had offers from Kentucky, Marquette, Baylor, Etc. and choose Iowa State.

We had an assistant for a couple years (Robinson?) who was tied in with Chicago and had good contacts there.

Too bad Colvin was worthless for us.
