Yeah, I don't think my source would call me and tell me this if he didn't know for sure. But, stranger things have happened.
NOOOOO!!!! Not that I don't like Clement, but being an Indians fan I hate to see VMart go!!! I understand they have like a $7m option on him next year but he's a solid player defensively and offensively.
Internet rumors say a couple of differnt things. One is the Kasmir (TB Rays) could be on his way to Seattle and the other is that Washburn (Ms) could be on his way to Philly. Two completely different trades and Clement seems to be an add on with either. I also think that it is going to be through the Indians either way.
As an Ms fan, it sucks that we lost 5 in a row reight before the deadline, but I am very happy with our new GM and I expect that we get some good peices to move forward with. Clement just got stuck behind 2 other young catchers and they really, really like his bat, it's just that his defense always kept him in 3rd place.
Again I have no connections and this is all from the internet and what I can peice together from following the Ms from over 1000 miles away.

mlbtraderumors has reported that Clement and others have been traded to Pitt for Jack Wilson and Ian Snell.
You beat me to it. Was just gonna post that. Two Iowans traded to the Pirates in the past few weeks.
Clement goes to AAA, Cedeno will be only player joining the Bigs.

i really doubt they keep him at catcher. hes not that great behind the plate... first base will be home for him i think since Pit traded LaRoche
Wow.... I don't know who gets better here... I guess the M's get the better end of the deal, but... idk. Wilson is way overpaid because he plays spectacular defense... and Ian Snell is kind of... hit or miss.
Cool, I live close to Indy so I might have to run up there and see Jeff play. That'll be cool.
No ****! I assumed since he called me to tell me about it specifically (I don't follow baseball much) that he got the news from Jeff or his dad. Apparently not. Or they had bad info. Either way, that will be my last "breaking news" report. Sorry all.
He will have some stiff competition at first with Pearce and Jones... I just really hope they don't trade Doumit anytime soon...
