Coach K actually sounded likeable in that. Refreshing. Had no idea he could actually have fun.
I actually started liking coach K back when he got upset a couple times in the tournament. None of the sour grapes, back handed compliments, or we beat ourselves nonsense that you hear from a lot of coaches.

I believe the OP was the one driving, so the background noise you hear is likely from him recording the audio from his car.
TJ’s interview was half of Coach K’s Basketball and Beyond show this week on Sirius XM Radio. It will be replayed several times in the next week. Every week, Coach K interviews two icons in the world of sports.

Man I really love TJ's attitude for building our basketball program. He's the kind of guy you wish you could play for, especially if you are a team basketball player. Guys would run through walls for him. SOOOO glad he is here.

Der Bruder JM and JP strike again.
We’ve been at it for a long time. A LONG time. No need to stop now.

And look, Dad proudly standing by in the background? And Mom taking the video! :D

Met Coach K randomly about 20 years ago. Was scared to introduce myself and dint want to be a bother, but he was super nice. Asked who I cheered for and I said Iowa State. Told me the whole story about the Iowa State job. I had no idea until he told me and was speechless. Probably only talked 4-5 minutes but was just a friendly and down to earth guy.

TJ comes out hot calling Coach K soft for taking the Duke job instead of staying in the upper midwest and taking the Iowa State job.

That was so much fun. Thanks for sharing.

It's not shocking but it is sad that fans actually email the coaches with advice, comments, etc. I'm sure the coaches sit around and read them for a laugh during a rare downtime/break. How deluded can one be to think the coaches read fan emails? Crazy.

"More guys would run through the walls for him if he'd just play Ward more." - ZRF probably

Who knows TJ could be the next Coach K and on the FB side with the NIL and transfer environment we might not be able to compete if Saban was our coach
This isn't a reflection on the current staffs. I wouldn't trade TJ or Campbell for anyone right now.

But if the offer is Coach K and Bill Snyder for the previous 20 years, yah I'm signing up for that right now and I don't think there's a debate haha

The thing about would-haves and could haves, There is no way to know that their careers would have played out similarly. Coach K (or Snyder) might have been a bust or might have seen the success he had at Duke (K State). Nice to dream, but no one will ever know.
