Does anyone know if Mark will be calling plays from the pressbox or the sideline?

Re: Coach Mangino

Oh my goodness with that thread title. I though it was gonna be something a little different. And no, I think he'll stay on the ground to call plays like last year.

Didn't he call NDSU from the press box last year and the following Monday he talked about how terrible it was not being able to talk to his players face to face, then called from the sidelines the rest of the season?

I believe this is correct. I'm assuming it stays the same this year (minus the first game from the press-box).

Re: Coach Mangino

For the sake of my heart, can we stop titling threads by only somebody's name?
TIA

It's headline writing 101, people. Imagine picking up tomorrow's newspaper and seeing "COACH MANGINO" as the headline. Doesn't tell us anything.

I, for one, have no problem with a simple title on a football board. It wasn't a whole lot of work to read the message to see what it was about. Sorry for not wanting to give the OP forty lashes.....

@AlexHalsted: Paul Rhoads said they haven't settled on whether Mark Mangino will be on the field or in the box. Started in the box last year, then moved.

They should do everything the exact opposite of last year.

Clickbait theory. It's simple, and I'll be damned if it doesn't work exactly as intended.

Ideally you want the OC in the Press Box. But you have to have a smart/mature group with good leadership and also be on the same page as your assistants.

Last year we had a bunch of new coaches together and the lockerroom wasn't a good culture. I can see why he left the box.
