There's truth to this, but does it make him "elite"?
Honestly Rick Barnes is the most suspect of that category. Everybody else there has at least a Final Four on their resume. Other than being at "bigger" programs for longer his coaching career isn't any different than Dana Altman's

I think that group is mislabeled -- it should be "Hall of Famer" which I think comfortably applies to everybody in that group. Otherwise, I would just call them "Consistently Very Good For A Long Time".

Barnes does have a Final Four appearance.

Granted, it was in 2003, but just making note.
