How do you figure?I believe Hansen is a No for Big XII competition. I hope he surprises me, however, I am not seeing it like many are.

I dont think he would have been getting carries as a true freshman if he didn't have a future.I believe Hansen is a No for Big XII competition. I hope he surprises me, however, I am not seeing it like many are.
That catch and (even more so) run against Memphis told me a lot about his future.I dont think he would have been getting carries as a true freshman if he didn't have a future.
I’m not sure where you got your numbers. We finished 8th overall, and 7th in conference games. And that wasn’t due to our primary punt returner, as Noel finished fourth in the conference individually. Here’s my hot take. If he is indeed used as a returner, he’ll push ISU’s return team to top 5 in the big 12. For reference, finished 9th and 10th in 2023

So saying that we could finish in the top five next year isn’t exactly a challenge.
I think this kid will add some catching the ball out of the backfield as well.
Jackson has a couple nice runs today, he looks like he could be really fun to watch. Hopefully they keep finding ways to get him involved.
He needs to be more than involved. He needs serious carries. Sama ran tough and has the home run potential but Jackson has the better vision and ability to make the most out of a play that isn’t blocked great. Hansen can be the 3rd and long, sure passing situation guy picking up blitzes and catching passes out of the backfield.Jackson has a couple nice runs today, he looks like he could be really fun to watch. Sama ran damn hard today. I was surprised to look up the stats afterwards and see he only averaged a little over 3 ypc. Jackson was very formidable change of pace option. That was one of if not best defense we see all season, so hopefully the run game improves someI'm liking the backfield.
Some possibilities for some 'who's day is it?' type of deal.
Thought Sama had some nice YAC going today and Jackson etched out some great carries.

Go back and watch the replay. Sama missed many holes out there for short gains that would have resulted in first downs especially early in the game when the offense struggled mightily. He generally slid laterally away from the hole for no gain rather than a 2-3 yard pick up. When Jackson came in, I believe in the third, that changed. Sama is explosive but has some learning to do. You most often win by moving the chains. The KSU game and his success under the conditions there may have ultimately slowed his growth. I believe he will be very good as an upper classman. For now, I'm thrilled to have an experienced Jackson as running back has been a position of concern for me. Feel so much better about the RB and LB group after this game.Sama ran damn hard today. Yeah Jackson seemed to find the hole and get downhill quickly. Sometimes sama is passing up a decent run to try and find the home run and against a team like Iowa that ends up resulting in not much most of the timeGo back and watch the replay. I’d rather see a more pro style approach rather than a 2 headed monster with Sama as a 3rd down back.
Sama has a way to go in knowing when to cut it up and when to try to pop it outside. That will get better with carries. But right now Jackson has a lot more college carries under his belt and it shows.Go back and watch the replay.
