I guess I'll try this again! Cool article on cyclones.com about Bubu. About a week old but I just read it. Maybe he will soon be put on scholarship!

Not sure why the last one was moved. Also not sure where it was moved to.

If Long doesn't come for 2nd semester could Bubu get the scholarship for 1/2 a year? He should get one as opposed to it being vacant.

I don't think he'll ever be on scholarship otherwise because we are technically oversigned for next year. Of course attrition takes care of that.

most college/universitys offer free or reduced tuition to children of full time employees, i would assume his tuition has been covered since dad is on staff. there may be other perks with being on scholarship along with the vote of confidence from the coach. who would of thought bubu would hang in there as well as he has when we were looking at all the guards coming in last year. looks like he is well on his way to earning a full ride.

I don't believe that's the case at ISU, Iowa or UNI.

The last one was moved because all you said was "Congrats Bubu" without anything else to go on. That tends to open up speculation on many levels.

Yeah, I don't see how Bubu gets a scholarship on this team unless we're going to have more attrition than we now know about? There's just no room for him to get one. We'd have to have 2 or 3 guys leave, wouldn't we?

I know that a scholarship was not a high priority for Bubu when he came here. (from a person who knows him) Im not sure if thats still the case but he certainly isn't fighting and scrapping against the coaches to get one over someone else IMO.

ISU does NOT offer this perk for employees. That kind of thing happens a private institutions.

I assumed he was pregnant, I have to return the gift I bought him now.

It is against NCAA rules to give gifts to players even if they are pregnant. Looks like we got lucky and dodged a violation here.

I must have forgot to paste the address to the article. I do that in emails with attachments all the time.

I think Bubu is a very good student and thought that he was on some kind of financial help. Also, I know that my cousin that works for U of Neb does get some kind of a deal for her daughter on tuition, so it does happen.
