Could Iowa State go bowling at 5-7?

Embarrassing? Sure.

But if it gives some seniors one last chance at putting up some highlight film at the next level? I’m all for it

99% of the time I want an extra game to cheer on my Clones. Off-season is too long of a wait. Never liked being done before Thanksgiving...

At this point 4-8 or even 3-9 are very possible, but a win over WVU next week would put bowling at 5-7 into serious consideration.

I can't imagine the fan base will be fired up over going to a bowl game if we are 5-7. Will be a pre-Christmas game most likely in some crummy destination. After 3-0 I was fired up and ready to go to to a bowl game with 7 or 8 wins but the mood in the crowd today at the Jack was frustration with what has turned out to be an even more disappointing season than last year. This team is losing within the margins which for a coaching staff that preaches we have to win within the margins something has to change soon because the talk is not matching the play on the field.

Anything is possible. However, our offense can't score against the worst defenses in the league (almost the country) so I have no reason to be optimistic in that game.

It's a painfully good point. Just because OSU struggled today doesn't at all mean they'll struggle against the worst team in the league.

Yes, folks, I know some of you don't like the idea (and we shouldn't), but 0-5 isn't an accident. We're bad.

ISU is averaging 14.7 point per game against power 5 teams. They ain’t winning 5 games.

"Lucifer I am getting very concerned. I thought going back to the same plays that didn't work the previous games before Texas would work against Oklahoma. I was certain they'd never see it coming and yet somehow, they stopped us...

Perhaps if we run the same plays, we will catch West Virginia and Texas Tech off guard. I am certain we can pick up those two wins to get to the bowl game at 5-7. Mark my words Lucifer!"

"Don't I always Baltar?"

So, ISU is still projected to the Cure Bowl in Orlando @ Exploria Stadium (Orlando City MLS Soccer Stadium) vs. Georgia Southern. Can the Cyclones defend the option?

Not likely that ISU would accept a bowl that's played on the Friday of Finals Week.

Imagine if Heacock wasn't on staff. 1994 again?
