Could ISU be a featured matchup on Gameday this year?

I don't get why people think the LHN would be the deal breaker for Gameday in Austin. ESPN owns the network and it would be great publicity for the LHN and ESPN.

And last year they did the Penn State vs Ohio state game and, if I remember correctly, that game was broadcasted on FS1. I don't think they care what station the game is on

Yes, they've done other Fox games in the past.

No real thoughts, but that game is on the Longhorn network. Do not know if that would matter.

Has no implication on Gameday. They'll visit places where FOX or another station has the broadcast. If anything, ESPN could actually see it as an opportunity to promote the LHN. If things play out like both sides anticipate leading up to that game, it will undoubtedly be the most anticipated matchup in the LHN's short history.

They've basically all but said that they will be in Ames next year.

ISU vs Iowa next year??? both programs should finish the year strong with solid expectations for 2019. It's an opportunity to highlight ISU and the CyHawk Rivalry and a national audience will watch ISU crush the hoks so whats the problem all?

Well Duke and Cincinnati both lost today, so that may have opened the door a little more. I don't know that there's going to be a more appealing matchup than ISU at Texas, if we both don't stumble before then.

So, I'm thinking this is a win-win situation for Iowa State. If Texas does win till then, we potentially have a big-time game on national TV with game day. If Texas should stumble, we have the opportunity to be in the Big 12 championship game. I'd love to be on College GameDay, but not nearly as much as the Big 12 championship. I realize West Virginia looked good tonight, but believe me when I tell you, they will lose again.
