I think the same thing should be said about people going to the gym!! Dang this one dude needs to wear a different set of clothes every day instead of the ones he wears for two days in a row!! The cologne he was giving off after the first day was bad enough. Burned the hair in my nostrils!!

Why would anyone do this?

Reminds me of the friend that would wear his shorts for two days at RAGBRAI.

My wife used to manage a large team of associates and she had to have many delicate conversations about people and their odor.
My work had training for new managers which included scenarios for various delicate situations. One was for dealing with an employee that had "disruptive" BO issues. We had to role play the scenario only knowing one side of the story or the other, while an observer critiqued.

My tact was to be sensitive about it and skirt around the issue, but that just made it worse. Turns out, you were supposed to be direct about it because the offender's story was that the BO was a side effect of medicine he was taking, and he had no idea he smelled!

My office sits next to two guys that have decided to have dueling Scentsy pots. Some days I can't hardly breath walking down the hallway. Something about the scents that they are using just gets too me.

Oh boy, I've been there done that with more than 1 person.

At once office I ended up sitting right next to a girl who I swear came from the Lumberyard every morning. I would have a sore throat and burning nose every day. I tried right away to talk to her about it but you'll find quickly that alot of people simply don't care and have no concern about anybody around them.

I went through all channels of talking to management, filing complaints, and so forth, nothing really changed so I ended up having to move.

Alot of businesses now have a no scent policy. I never understood people that would wear tons of cologne to work.

It's not all about what you want to smell.

JFC. My new coworker wears waaaaaaay too much cologne. It's gagging me when I breath too deep. What can I say that isn't too passive aggressive or d*ckish?
Just flat out tell him that the idea is to just add a spritz and not to marinate in the damn stuff.

If it's a big enough company let HR handle it. You'll be the one screwed over otherwise.

Not exactly sure.
There used to be a guy in my office who would workout over lunch, and rather than taking a shower afterward, he would douse himself with Axe body spray. To make it even worse, he would spray himself *after* he got back to his cubicle. The entire office smelled horrible all afternoon. God, that **** is nasty!

My senior year some sophomore threw his bag in his lockerrrom locker and broke a bottle of polo in it. Some other jack wagon sophomore complained about the smell and hosed it down with brut deodorant. Instant headache. This is a windowless basement room where we changed and kept our football pads. I grabbed my pads and got ready outside.
