They shot out of their *** and we exposed their defensive gameplan. ISU let them off the hook with too many open 3's and they were just chucking when down by 8 to take the lead. Gathers parked in the lane all night with no 5 second call. Then of course there is Cherry, the typical B12 offensive guard who could never ever make a mistake so it has to be a foul!

Whatever, let them have their meaningless regular season game and flame out in the first weekend while ISU again carries the banner for the conference in the post season.

Screw Baylor. Yes I'm bitter.

No. **** that. I'm not giving Baylor credit for knocking down wide open 3s the entire night. We did our usual thing and ****** away another chance to officially get on the map by end KU's streak in typical Iowa State fashion and by ******* up the same way we have the entire season. No reason anyone should hit 5 3s in a row in a game. Ever. I'm getting really tired of just brushing off each loss we have. We possibly just gave away a conference championship. Can I me mad yet? I'm tired of all this ****.

I am just as frustrated as everyone is. We will bounce back. We are NCAA Tournament bound baby!! Head up. I must say though, Scott Drew coached a hell of a game!

I never thought in a million years Scott Drew burning his final timeout with 8 to play would win the game. Seriously, when he took that timeout, all hell went loose.

Yep. Gathers had a hissy fit and Drew sat his ***, which led to more true shooters on the court. ISU over rotated on the help which led to open looks for at least one guy. Ended up falling *** backwards into the solution, unfortunately for us.

Too bad Hoiberg didn't call a TO to stem the tide...

Yep. Baylor killed us with 3P and we shot poorly. Physically Baylor is more talented. They have length, bulk, athleticism, two pgs, and can shoot. Tonight they passed the ball well too. Simply put, in the halfcourt we were out manned. OU could be much of the same. Tough matchups.

Disappointing to lose, but not shocking. Good effort by the team and let's get the upset on Saturday.

This reminded me of what we did against Texas at home the other night. We shot lights out against Texas and won. It's tough to lose when you go on that big of a run at the end of the game. I don't credit Scott Drew, because he was wasting timeouts to "stop the bleeding", I credit the lucky *** bank in 3's that wouldn't end. god damn it.

good learning for the team????? What are we finger painting? This team has said they have learned lessons every F-ing loss.....but they haven't and that's not a secret. They cannot be trusted, they are hot and cold like a 50 year old woman in menopause. I love the Cyclones and will never root for another team in my life, but this team lacks the "it" factor last years team had......sad but true

I don't remember them banking in any 3's.

You are blinded by a hot run in the conference tourney and a hot run in the NCAA tourney. Somebody should compare record this time last year vs. this year. I know we only finished 3rd last year in the conference, and at one point we were lower. I think we had to fight pretty hard for that 3rd place if I don't recall.

Last year at this exact time we were 10-5 (22-5 overall) in the conference with losses @OU, KU, @TX, @KU, @KSU, @WVU and @BU

We are literally in the exact same place as last year, then we went 1-2 for the remaining three.

Last year's team underachieved big time. Nobody wants to say that but they did. If they played to their potential all year they would have been a lot higher up than 4th.

Yep.

Intramural basketball teams will hit wide open 3s.

There's a reason people get excited about pretty average D1 basketball players in summer leagues: they look really good against bad defense.

Baylor's a nice team, but it's concerning how so many teams are able to score so willingly against ISU.

'Pass the ball around a bit. Then dribble a little. Then pass to the open guy on the perimeter for an open shot'.

That's what his game plan looked like, and that's what Baylor did. Hardly coaching a hell of a game.

Many on impulse thought it was a laughable decision making in Scott Drew... I did not. Many coaches use timeouts right before the media time-out. It was the last time-out albeit risky, it certainly slowed down our momentum. Coach Drew I am guessing saw that our perimeter defense was lacking, and the fact our momentum was at a high at that point. What good would have that last time-out would have been if they were down by fifteen with less than a minute to play?

Big 12 tournament title and Sweet 16 (and likely more absent of horrible luck)? Underachieved, not a chance.

They overachieved and overproduced so much they fool people into thinking all they had to do was show up and out-talent people. It is the opposite- we out play people.

We had one legitimate stud, Kane. We had no size, length, depth, lacked shooting, played an inexperienced backcourt...

Baylor just sucker punched us out of that 8 min timeout. We never got back up. We were only down 4 at the under 4 and it felt like we were done. Crowd was completely stunned.

Crazy how fast things changed. We were knocking down shots, throwing it down, and watching Drew burn timeouts. Everything was going just as it should and Baylor turned it around. Props to them.
