Crowd didn't sound that loud from the TV, but I think ESPN2 for some reason purposely tries to filter the noise out. Glad to hear those that were there thought it was rocking.
A KSU fan and his young son sat in front of me. The kid had his ears covered most of the second half:biggrin:
There was definitely a hangover effect in the first half, which is understandable... but yea, the crowd really turned in on down the stretch. Seemed about 90% full at tip.

All ku fan heard was boooo. To be fair we did booo a lot, but the refs were being stupid in the second half.
As others have said, the first half was okay and the second half (especially the last few minutes) was fantastic. I would love to see the place filled 15+ minutes before tipoff, as I feel the atmosphere lacks that buildup when seats are being filled at tip, but I can't complain about a sold out crowd.
There were a couple moments toward the end where I thought the place was really loud, and then we just turned Hilton to 11 during the last 15 seconds or so of K-State's shot clock. Great job out of the crowd.
Was this the kid in the first row that kept jumping up and down and cheering when the crowd got loud and his dad kept trying to stop him because he was cheering for the wrong team? That was entertaining down the stretch haha
The Scott Drew Approach to coaching. The booing seemed to be not about the calls being made but how long some of the reviews and official stoppages were taking. They need to set a time limit for the monitor reviews, if I was a coach I would have no qualms about using up my timeouts early then in the last two minutes ask for reviews on any little play and have a free timeout.

First half was ok. Second half was great. It wasn't ku loud but it was still loud.
Loudest I've ever heard the place was at the end of the Iowa game in 2013 when Gessell missed his second free throw. I still get shivers when I re-watch that.
The wildest I've ever seen the place was when Naz drained that 3 against OSU last year to send the game into OT.
Magical season. I consider myself very lucky to have been there for those two games.
