Vikings wouldn't have been able to give up that much, oh well, Vikings are still a better team.

That is a crazy amount to give up! I am glad the Vikings didn't do something like that. It should be interesting to see if it works out for the bears.

No kidding....it's not like the Vikings would ever give up 5 players, 3 first picks and some others for one a single running back. Oh wait, they did do that!

Agreed the Bears have not done well in the 1st round - glad they gave up that liability!

Yeah. I REALLY regretted having Cris Carter and Randy Moss. :jimlad:

Warren Moon, Daunte (before injury), and Jeff George were all better QBs than anything I've seen from the Bears....
Anthony Carter, Hassan Jones, Jake Reed.
Randall Cunningham's death rattle in Minnesota was better than anything the Bears have had since Jimmy Mac. And we had him too.

A ton to give up.

But I think it's a decent move for the Bears. Really solidifies that QB spot for the foreseeable future - something that has not been the case for...well - many years.

Wow, two first rounders, crazy...I wouldn't want the Vikes to give up that much, but good for the Bears, they now have a great QB

Vikings will suck next year. :biglaugh:
Im sorry to tell ya but the bears will be in same boat.
Getting a good qb isnt going to solve all the problems for the bears, like others have said there is nobody to catch the ball

they needed those draft picks to make a move on some receivers.

Greg Olsen, Brian Urlacher, Tommie Harris all suck.

The Bears are pretty hit and miss in the first round. They have some big booms and some big busts.

I'm convinced this trade happened only after McDaniels attempt at getting Ryan Leaf as his new starter fell through.

Ugh. Orton?

Agreed, but you can have all the beautiful WR's but with no one to throw them to what good are they (insert Lion's logo here).

The WR free agency just got more attractive in Chicagoe and besides that's what the 2nd round will be for.

Gotta have someone to throw it before you need someone to catch it!

GO BEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

what good is a beautiful qb that just hands the ball of every down?
i dont know , its a catch 22 ... either way its probably a good get for chicago in the long run

Denver is in a world of hurt. Defense already marginal and now they're completely upside down at QB.

Again, 6 wins max for Denver pending what they do in the draft.

A chicken or the egg question...however, I know the only way the WR can get the ball is typically from the QB.

I guess time will tell
