Not exactly sure.
Lots of great stuff in here to get rivalry juices going. I love when they compare defenses and don't realize ISU's was ranked nearly as high nationally as Iowa last year in spite of playing a better schedule with better offenses.

Did you know Iowa was clearly the better team last year even though they only had 150 yards of offense and lost?

That’s like posting cat videos bro. Nobody wants that.

I mean this sincerely the analysis in this is absolutely moronic.

I feel like anytime I see any analysis on this game from the Iowa side it breaks down to "We have Cade on offense so he's worth at least 3 TDs and our Defense is elite so ISU can't score ergo Iowa wins" and then doesn't even bother breaking down Iowa State on offense or defense.

Brent on Williams and Blum Wednesday nailed it. Until Iowa shows they can run the ball, there is no reason to expect their offense to be anything other than anemic. And based on week 1 it still doesn't seem like they can. Now Week 1 doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things so they could end up being able to run the ball, but based on that, I don't see why it will turn around this week.

Iowa State still has to show what they can do on offense, because they didn't show much week 1, but changing the OC, OLine Coach, and Special Teams coach, I have more confidence in that offense than the one who hasn't shown any effort to change.

No see you don't understand. The Big12 sucks so that makes offenses look that much better which means if you have a good defense you aren't actually good because the offenses aren't good, but the Big10 is good so that means if offense is bad defense is really good but if you face a good offense the offense is really good and the defense is still good but if offense is bad defense is still good.

What's not to understand?

Turnovers and special teams game. That favors Iowa. Iowa State is unproven to consistently deliver in the margins.

If it's a mistake free game from both teams.. Iowa State wins but 7+

Like others have said, whoever makes the fewest mistakes takes home the cy-hawk trophy. "Winning in the margins" really hasn't been a thing here the last few years. All Iowa has to do is wait for State to make the inevitable couple of mistakes and Iowa wins another one. Hope I'm wrong.

Cyclones 24-0. Hoks go scoreless. Cale knocked out of the game early with a bum leg. Replaced by Deacon Blues. He throws two interceptions, one returned for a score. Cyclones run for 165, throw for 130. No turnovers, Hok nation melts down, Kurt announces this is his last season.
This would be awesome,….. and impressive.
A lot of that makes sense….

That's ALMOST as bad as when Williams openly mocked a radio guest from NDSU for predicting a double digit victory for the Bison. The lack of self-awareness was stunning, yet not surprising.

Weird you’d remember something that obscure for so many years. Thanks for the entertainment.

Saw a painted sheet on campus today. In big black letters was the legendary quote “Brian Ferentz can’t even score on his wife”
