Just recently watched The Iron Claw.
Great movie, but as much as I love Jeremy Allen White, IMO that was a miss casting him as Kerry Von Erich. Kerry was the biggest of the VE brothers, with the best physique. JAW is the best actor of the bunch, but he's just too short and not nearly big enough to be believable as Kerry.

I have never seen Long Gone, but that is a good title for a movie facing Hoosiers in the first round.Game 1 Hardcourt

I still cry when I watch HoosiersI would have the natural and raging bull easily in top 4 for just overall quality movie.
Hoosiers is probably the one that checks the box for pure sports movie but also is just outstanding timeless filmmaking. I don’t know what if any Oscar nominations it got but it should have had some across several categories.
Was it intentionally lower seeded so it could be an underdog story? The 11 seed Dodgeball is beating the Bad News Bears.
"Do you believe in unlikelihoods!?"
From the early 80s, best movie about HS football ever IMO. Tom Cruise, Christopher Penn, Lea Thompson, Craig T. Nelson. Set in a working class steel town in PA, it's all about getting out of there with a football scholarship. That 39% rating can kiss a bag, it's a f*cking great movie.I've never heard the movie 'All the Right Moves. 10,00 audience ratings give a rotten 39% so I'll say pass. Why its even in the bracket?
Long Gone is a very underrated baseball movie. About a minor league team in the 50s, the Tampico Stogies. William Peterson, Dermot Mulroney, Virginia Madsen, Larry Riley.I have never seen Long Gone, but that is a good title for a movie facing Hoosiers in the first round.
I absolutely love Major League. My one beef with it is how weirdly they jammed that love story into it. Everything else about it is hysterical awesomeness.
I just watched this. It was a good movie. My wife grew up in Texas and was a big Von Erichs fan, so she knew everything about them. She said the movie jumped forward in time abruptly a few times (particularly from the time Kerry won the championship to the motorcycle accident - it was two years, but the movie made it feel like it was very shortly afterwards) but she said the actors nailed the brothers' individual mannerisms.Just recently watched The Iron Claw.

I was a big wrestling fan as a kid and knew all about the Von Erichs. I always liked Kerry and never knew about his foot until I watched the movie just recently. My daughter was watching with me and as I was educating her about pro wrestling in the late 70s and early 80s, talking about the Von Erichs, Flair, Dusty Rhodes, The Freebirds, etc., that scene of Kerry in the kitchen came up and both our jaws dropped. She asked me if I knew he lost his foot. "Um, no, I had no idea." She of course then started flipping me sh*t about being such an "expert", Lol.I just watched this. It was a good movie. She also said Kerry's foot came off during a match against Tanaka, but, up until then, nobody knew about him having a prosthetic, not even the other wrestlers. I find that pretty amazing and am shocked that they omitted that from the movie.
I doubted my wife's memory (HUGE mistake, btw) and found this vid corroborating her claim.I was a big wrestling fan as a kid and knew all about the Von Erichs. I have actually never even heard of that movie. There are a couple others in the tournament that I have heard of but have not seen.I've never heard the movie 'All the Right Moves. 10,00 audience ratings give a rotten 39% so I'll say pass. Why its even in the bracket?
