I think this one will be interesting, I feel like anyone younger than 35 might not know enough Dangerfield and Glaser is a very popular comic right now.I like Nicki Glaser a lot but not enough to put her over Dangerfield.

The hardest one for me is Eddie Murphy. Delirious and Raw were so huge during my youth, but he essentially did those two stand-up specials (as ground-breaking as they were) and that's it in terms of stand-up. He was all over the tv and big screen for most of my youth, so I have a hard time separating his career into sections.I'm more worried that people will let some of these comedians acting careers play into it.
For me, I think of his movies. But IMO what sets him apart from other comedians who had long, very successful acting careers (Robin Williams, Billy Crystal to name a few) is just how prolific he was at stand up. I'm with you, Delirious and Raw were a huge part of my teenage years and even though those were his only big TV specials, they were so groundbreaking and good that IMO he'll always be in the pantheon of all-time great stand up comedians. The hardest one for me is Eddie Murphy. I'd be interested to know what peoples' first thoughts are when his name is brought up. Is it SNL, stand-up, his movie career, etc? I feel like I can agree with damn near any viewpoint on this.
I think of his stand-up act first. I remember watching them and my mom had the albums on cassette tape. He's a big reason why I became a huge fan of stand-up comedy. Delirious and Raw are easily both in the top 10 of all time. The hardest one for me is Eddie Murphy. I agree with you about Swardson. I was so excited to see him at Hoyt Sherman. His stuff comes on the Comedy Central XM station and it's a must listen every time.Nick Swardson was seriously the funniest stand up show I've been to in person, and I've seen several of those in the brackets, but I might have been on drinking and on edibles.

I imagine age will play a part. I remember him from SNL first, but then he leapt into the forefront with Delirious and Raw and that hit me during my formative years. Conversely, I was too young for Richard Pryor's prime material, but I had to dip back into it so I'd appreciate it.I think of his stand-up act first. If you like Swordson, you should check out the guy he stole his jokes from... Chad Daniels. I think he has a Netflix special coming out soon.I agree with you about Swardson. Overlapping w/ several other responses, I have a mental categorization of his 3 elements - SNL, stand-up and movies. SNL still memorable, I think his impact at the time was in part how good he was, but also that was a somewhat dreadful SNL period, making it stand out even more. I'm able to consider his stand-up separately, and it was massive and groundbreaking, even if the time frame wasn't lengthy. Without him, do we get Chris Rock or Chappelle (and probably many others)? The hardest one for me is Eddie Murphy. Let me guess, he didn't come up with the character "Terry" from Reno 911! either? If you like Swordson, you should check out the guy he stole his jokes from... Chad Daniels. I think he has a Netflix special coming out soon.

I just wonder if those born in the 80's have much appreciation for Eddie's stand-up or just "know it exists" and know him more for his movies.

don't know about that but aren't most/all bits derivative (inspired by) others? If you like Swordson, you should check out the guy he stole his jokes from... Chad Daniels. I think he has a Netflix special coming out soon.
Not really. Swordson just straight up ripped that dude off when they were coming up together in Minnesota. He probably figured Daniels wouldn't get big enough to where people would find out.don't know about that but aren't most/all bits derivative (inspired by) others?
No idea, never watched that show.Let me guess, he didn't come up with the character "Terry" from Reno 911! either?
Norm a 5 seed? Think he could be a final 4 contender
Ya, the Committee doesn't like Norm.
He was #2 for all the votes for CF Poll. Only Chappelle (56 votes). Norm was 55 votes, then Murphy 53, Carlin 52, Seinfeld and Gaffigan 51. That's all 50 votes over.
Not sure the ranked was #2 for the CycloneFantic Voters poll for Norm, should was lock for #1, ended up to a 5 seed.
What I want to here what happened with Bill Hicks. Out of 98th rank out of 139, even not to the top 64 for make the tournament, but even got a 6 seed.

The CF poll was one of 8 lists which were averaged together. Norm is good but not sure he is 1 or 2 seed good.
The lists were crazy different as one had Carlin in the 40's.
Werd. That's what makes a committee! 8 lists and figure it out, good job you guys man. And Rulzzz the master for these!
