He hasn’t gone thru preseason plus 17 weeks of taking a beating. Fresh legs and ten years of PT put him in a good spot with an organization and system he was familiar with. Bills were smart to have him available.
This. AJ, like many of the others on the field, tended to be one of the walking wounded by the end of the year. His speed was never great, but he always knew where to be on the field...now, the fresh legs actually look pretty speedy out there. Next are the Chiefs...looks like a pretty cold game...temps in the teens/twenties...a low chance of snow.

Dude ran a 4.5 in the combine, I would say that was good speed.

I was wondering about this exactly and would be curious to ask some recently retired players about their condition in playoffs vs week one.
