Probably some sort of domino effect.

I haven't been able to keep up. Was he actually committed to us, or was he just one we thought we had a good shot at?

For cripes sake! Why do these kids committ if they are not serious about it? This drives me mad. At this point i don't believe any of the players that have supposedly committed to ISU.

I'm sure we'll do some stealing from other teams as well. It's getting down to the crunch time in recruiting and this always seems to happen. He probably won't be the only one we lose.

I would say we can definitely blame this on Hoch switching to Mizzou. It stinks, but there is nothing you can do. Personally I think Marshall was a bigger loss. We aren't as bad off on the OL.

Put yourself in a recruits shoes. You have no predetermined allegences to a team, so you take your visits and commit to a team verbally. Then a while later a school who has a "Better" history comes to recruit you and you switch.

Thats why they switch.

thats easy its just like; you apply for two jobs, one offers, you accept, the higher paying job offers not long after, you then decline first and accept the second
