So a friend and I were debating this today...is it ok to date a Hawkeye fan?
It's a legitimate concern, really...
It's a legitimate concern, really...
He still owns some Hawkeye gear, but never wears it around my family or my sister.Yes. My sister married one and he's now a Cyclone fan, too. (He's a big wrestling fan and became a huge fan of Cael Sanderson and ever since he converted to a Cyclone fan.) After this year in football,he seen the light and became a fan in football and basketball, too.
Haven't converted mine yet. I don't help matters when I hate on Iowa every given chance. I think she became a lot bigger Hawk fan since I came into her life. She's the only Iowa fan I know that watches their basketball team. She has attended three ISU events with me, all with positive results for the Cyclones (OSU football, Iowa bball, Texas bball.) She doesn't cheer against the good guys but she doesn't cheer for them...yet.
Married one. You may have noticed the one person in section 205 wearing Hawkeye gear at the Iowa/Iowa State game. That was her. Luckily, the moments where she was the only person within 100 feet clapping were few and far in between.
Allowable for slump-busting purposes only.
Wrap up.
There's no such thing as a hawkeye fan AND a cyclone fan rolled into one.
And the "I cheer for the hawks except when the play the clones" or "I cheer for the clones except when they play the hawks" crowd are as bad.
Embarassing, isn't it?
