Awesome. Hopefully he plays a solid game and improves his draft stock.

Have to believe he is a second day pick. I think he works out well, but his lack of elite production last year, the credit card incident, and his smallish size will push him down the board. Now this didn't happen for Polamalu or Sanders, but they had tremendous production and workouts at the combine. Sims would have to run in the low 4.4s to get mentioned with those guys. And he may be capable of doing that.

A-Rob probably doesn't get drafted unless he runs a great 40 at ISU's pro day. His lack of size and speed to make up for it will not impress anyone enough to draft him. He should get some serious looks in camps though.

I think ISU has 4 guys that could get drafted

Franklin 4th or 5th
Lamaak 4th - 6th
Sims 5th -7th
Robinson 6th or 7th (at least a free agent)

We always over rank our own guys. I'm surprised I haven't seen more threads about Klein and Knott leaving after next year. I think the soonest we'll see an ISU player off the board is the 6th round. None of those guys are that special. There are lots of prospects just like them. Rubin got drafted fairly early a few years ago cause he was huge, not many people with that kind of size. Some pro teams would rather draft a college basketball player with no football experience before they use a pick on Franklin.

David Sims is one of my favorite players. I am admittedly biased but I think the guy will be playing on Sundays. If he falls to the later rounds he will be a steal.

The Steelers could deffinitely use a good backup safety for Polomalu
