This is just a depth issue, we are out of gas in the 4th. It sucks a ton but look at this way. Back to back weeks we all thought we were going to be slaughtered but we almost won. I'm never one for moral wins so I won't say I'm happy about losing. But I'd rather loss 38-31 than 38-10. Our team can make plays and Damn I'm in love Jones. Can't believe that kid is a freshman. Bright future. I'm not joking but this staff could bring us a conference championship.

I'm with you. Divorcing myself from the scoreboard, this VERY young Cyclone team has an offense in the last 3 games that we haven't seen in YEARS! And with all the youth getting the reps I'm tickled pink. There is so much development going in front of our eyes I'm convinced we're turning the corner and it will show on the scoreboard sooner rather than later.

I didn't think we were going to get slaughtered. I think others didn't either.

I think it's more of a confidence issue than a depth issue. Once we got a few bad bounces late in the 3rd quarter, all of the sudden all our guys looked defeated and couldn't open any holes anymore, started dropping passes, started allowing sacks, etc, etc.

We dominated the last 2 games for nearly 3 quarters, but once we got a few bad breaks, it was like we gave up. That is the mentality that Campbell and company HAVE to change.

We just need to close out one game and also for things to go our way during the later portions of the game. Once that happens I feel our players will start to gain confidence and the culture to start changing.

Sigh..........................This isn't just this regime or the 1990's or Criner.
You know,.....The UNI game still sticks out and really, really sucks....If you are going to recruit to get the depth so this stuff doesn't happen, as so many of you astutely recognize, you had to win that first game when you had 9 months to prepare for it.
But every week I ready to be proven wrong and that this ship is still something that can be righted. We can beat Texas.
They better not freaking play Sweet Caroline again this year unitl post game.

UNI game means nothing and has no bearing on the mental make-up of this program. The team we've seen playing the last 3 weeks is nothing like the team that took the field against UNI.

Maybe improving overall, but still losing with an even more greater fourth quarter meltdown than the UNI game. Not good.

The fumble after the nice first down gain was an absolute killer. I knew it was over at that point. We could have taken quite a bit of time off of the clock at that point.

It has been Deja vu for the last 20 years. Its bad when ISU was up by 17 I thought to myself, they will find away to lose this, and they did.

Yeah, I really have no idea why some people are so upset here. Last two weeks we are up against programs that we are clearly outmatched just about everywhere, 17 point dogs, and could have won both. Guys are just gassed. We are way too thin pretty much everywhere and on top of that just not good enough. Honestly it is totally obvious. They just are worn out. I think Campbell is a miracle worker so far quite honestly. Is he young and maybe made a couple mistakes.....sure. But just to get this ragtag group to compete with Baylor and OSU, pretty impressive. Yes, I hate losing those games as much as anyone, but the last two weeks, we had guys playing football out there...aggressive, some creativity, you can see guys getting better every game, which hasn't been the case for a long time. Honestly, I saw more improvement out of some guys in the last two weeks than I have in the previous 4 years. Dude is 3 plays from being 4-2 and in the running for coach of the year. I actually really like what I am seeing so far. Takes 3-4 years to change a football program.

Some are upset because winning is the goal. Beating the spread is not winning. Some are upset because we have been hearing we are getting close to turning it around for the last 20 years. Or we were so close to winning that game. We are also tired of losing the 4th qtr. Will it be different with this staff, who knows, at somepoint you have to find away to win games.

Man - this team is killing me. To totally hand the win over with your nutsack is getting very old. Fumbles and drops - just nothing to be excited about when you lose like that. Maybe not score whole 1st quarter and save it for the 4th? Start Kempt? Crap - so frigging old.

Give me a team learning yet another new system, including true freshman, coming out swinging against Top Tier Power 5 conference teams, and showing improvement every week.--and yes, being up by that much, that late, is more impressive in Stillwater than at home the week before...for now I'm excited to see what the rest of the season brings.

Tough to swallow but there were some better football teams/programs out there that had no business playing today. ISU wasn't in that corner.

With all due respect......you do not get it. It is like debating with people after the Liberty Bowl if we should give the OC one more chance because everybody has a good attitude. College Football is recruiting.....lots of it. You need 30 legit Div. 1 kids staying healthy to compete or you get the stuff we have been seeing and have seen since Donnie Duncan. I'll come on and be happy and optimistically wax with you all if we can find more than two Walden-esque fluke surpise wins in this remaining schedule. Wins = confidence = recruiting wins = more wins.
