I don't disagree with a word of the bolded. I don't delude myself into thinking some of these kids are really student and not in effect playing in a farm system. And that's fine. But while here - they have certain obligations to uphold - and I expect that they do so. And one general one is to have a bit of respect for other people.

Pretty much this. I don't give a crap if he was smoking pot, and honestly I don't care whether he sits or not tomorrow, that's up to Fred. But come on man, don't be a ******** to your neighbors time after time. White is getting all the crap for this, but his mistake was speaking to the Daily (and why did they publish his name, seriously?). This is 100% BDJ's fault. Its 3AM on Wednesday during dead week, just turn off your subwoofer and you don't have this problem.

I see what you are saying, but c'mon... Normally, when kids have issues with the way they are coached, or their teammates, they quietly transfer. I happens all the time. They dont break their jaws, or walk out on them, and they certainly dont do it at more than one place. The kid has behavioral issues. THeres no way you can deny that, and I understand that he's not the only one that does, but when crap like this about him keeps popping up time after time, you have to wonder when enough is enough.

Like I said, I see what you are saying, and if there had been maybe one instance of negativity in his past, then sure, I can give the kid a pass and blame it on his environment, but when he makes the papers for all the wrong reasons at his third college in four years, you have to start blaming the actual person, not their environment.

This is untrue, he was CBS College B-ball player of the week and newcomer of the week for multiple weeks before. There has been no internal beefs, this was just a bad situation. I think you are reaching for reasons to kick-off the team....

I'm sure I'm in the minority here, but I just don't care if BDJ is a great guy or anything. He's here to win basketball games, he isn't even here for an education though I'm sure he's going to some blow off classes. All I care is that he doesn't do stupid stuff to jeopardize his playing time. Looks like he might have done that but also looks like Ames PD really overreached.

At the end of the day I don't care if he was being a jerk to his neighbor. He hasn't done anything serious so he should play. I'd hope the punishment is no more than missing the start and not coming in until the 10 minute mark. My gut tells me that Fred suspends him for the game, because at ISU we always have to get on a stupid high horse about this crap when no other University does. Jamies Winston still plays with all of his crap, yet we'll suspend (or some even suggest kick off the team) BDJ for being loud. I'm really tired of ISU and ISU fans being holier than thou with this crap.

I dont' care what BDJ did last night. I care about what BDJ promised Fred. If Fred told him to keep his nose clean and he did this, then he should be punished. If Fred tells a player, "no more Pepsi or else you are suspended" and the player drinks a Pepsi, he should be punished.

Its not about a noise complaint, its about taking responsibility for your actions. It all depends on what kind of discussions/agreements Fred and BDJ previously had.

Well then, let's start doing THE WRONG THING here at ISU! It will give us a chance of winning for a change! And besides, it'll be MORE ENTERTAINING! Doing THE RIGHT THING is for losers!

lol @ u. This went from being a big deal to a neighbor dispute about 5 decibles of noise. But I don't think you've picked up how the situation has changed.

IMO: We should just get a assistant coach to sneak into the apartment and put a baby monitor (or high distance walkie talkie) in their vent. The other monitor is in CFH's bedroom at home. Everytime he wakes up, he calls BDJ up and goes "bryce keep the volume down, that weed is too loud" or something punny like that. And bryce will think CFH is just that insanely psychic and will have to start listening to everything he says. Boom.

Maybe not to this team (yet), but 2 out of the 3 schools he has been to have turned him away for this very reason. Starting to look like 3 for 3.

He graduated from UNLV correct? Free to transfer. UNLV didn't care because they brought in 5 FR everyone knew would be starters.

Babb got in trouble for marijuana. Thomas and Nader got in trouble for OWI. Nader was also with BDJ by the way, so he's more likely to be in real trouble.

To be honest and I hate to say this, BDJ's brother(supposed), I agree with him, I think media is making this a way bigger deal than it needs to be, maybe because of his troubled past, but come on..... they are making this out to be way worse than it appears at this point, and because of that I believe he will be suspended for 3 games and we will not see him on Friday....

You, sir or madam, are a genius..... or maybe just a b-list comedy movie writer? One or the other.

Yeah, it was not like he was partying at 3 in AM with frozen crab legs

I used Winston as an extreme example of an athlete that gets away with a bunch of crap and people look the other way.

The facts here are that BDJ had a stereo playing loud at 3 AM. And people make him out to be a terrible person for both staying up late and playing loud music. Some have even said he should be kicked off the team or suspended for up to 5 games. It's insane the overreaction and panty wringing over this.

Hell I stay up until 3 AM listening to movies pretty loud on my surround sound and I work 8-5 everyday and have a wife and two small children. Lock me up and throw away the key!

Neither Nader nor Thomas (as far as I'm aware) have gotten in trouble before, and have served their time.

BDJ has done nothing but be a problem magnet. At some point he needs to pull his head out of his *** and stop getting in trouble, and he hasnt proved capable of doing that.
