Stud Florida HS running back has Iowa State listed in his top 5 according to Rivals

DeVondrick Nealy - Yahoo! Sports

Other schools listed as high interest are Arkansas, auburn, Michigan, and another SEC school they don't have on his profile for some reason.

The kid is a beast and that's pretty solid company to be mentioned with. Would be an awesome get!

Wow, if we pull this kid in I will be very impressed. It seems like it would be hard to recruit a kid like this with such an impressive offer list and get him on campus for an official.

Great job CPR and ISU coaching staff!

Looks like a good runner. Only big thing I noticed in the video was the tendancy to pop the ball into the air on a hard cut when lifting his elbow. Enjoyed the 1:47 mark when he put a guy damn near into the splits at the goal line.

Would be a very good get. I would say as big of a get as Johnson. Like it has been said, we seem to have little trouble to be a hit with RBs. If we grab him and Standard I am happy.

If we got either I would be happy. Standard's HS #'s are very good, he just has to get his grades up.

I wish we could recruit other positions as well as we can RB.

I think it is easier to find running backs for the spread than your traditional I back as the quantity is higher, but I know what you're saying. Is there a "spread" for defensive tackles? I assume 4-3 is what they like to play, which we employ. Sure would be great to be a haven for some nice interior linemen. The defensive line already has me worried for the Rhoads era at ISU.

True. He has plenty of time. Hopefully he can do it and we can grab them both. That would make two straight very solid RB classes.

I'm not worried about the DL, especially if we get Nelson. McDounough and Ruempolhamer sound like they have really put themselves in shape to have a good future(especially Jake since hes only a sophomore). DE worries me a little more though... but it seems like we have a real good strength and conditioning program going under Yancy, which you can get away with not having top flight HS recruits because you can form your own... they just might not start as freshmen or sophomores as they need time to develop.

Yes it is real nice to see that for a change. Hopefully that keeps happening and we actually land some here in the coming years.

great HS running backs make really good college d-backs and linebackers. I don't mind a ton of RB's bc that is where your best player plays in HS (other than QB)

I'm over the whole Gene Chizik-Iowa State debacle, but we all know it be nice to stick it to him any chance we get.

Getting this guy would be a nice stick to Chizik.

I really liked his vision on the field. It seemed like he could try to dance his way down the field a little too much though.

I interpreted his dance moves as part of his vision.

Clips beginning at 1:31 and 1:47 — they don't seem to be just finesse moves, but deciding to backtrack and pick up blocks when his speed alone isn't doing the trick.

I kinda want this guy really bad.

I like this guy too, but he tends to expose the ball when making his cuts in traffic. I'm sure the coaching staff will correct this bad habit if and when he comes to ISU.

He kinda reminds me of Barry Sanders..alters speed and switches direction quickly and uses his hips. I agree he does kinda hang the ball out to dry sometimes but that is fixable. Go get em!

He's just a sophomore in that video. Plenty of time to change that.
