The player flagged for the helmet to helmet on Barnett was......Cqulin Hubert, a player that we had in our recruiting class until signing day, then he signed w/ TTech? Kinda weird I noticed he was talking trash all game in everybody's face. Hes the one who did the switcharoo on us what a ******!:skeptical:

Cqulin Hubert - Yahoo! Sports

"Houston (Texas) Eisenhower linebacker Cqulin Hubert was a signing day surprise for Texas Tech, inking with the Red Raiders after being committed to Iowa State for four months."

Oh and maybe somebody should ask him how he could let ISU have 368 rushing yards against them. He probably should have spent less time talkin smack and more time trying to shed blocks and make tackles.

Hmm that is really interesting to seem them in the same picture there. Forget him, he'll never know the real value of being a Cyclone. Instead he gets his butt kicked by the Clones 2 years in a row!

I thought he came almost close enough to get kicked out. I think when you hit a defensiveness person like that, especially when the play is about over like that, the refs needed to consider doing it.

Just checked his twitter and he hasn't said anything since the game.

And I also thought it was a borderline ejection-worthy play. The only thing that saved him, IMO, is the fact that JB's knee hadn't quite hit the turf yet.

The TT forums were split on if it was even an illegal hit or not. Many felt it was a stupid play and an obvious flag, and a few I-dots thought it was even questionable.

His mission is to knock out players? Wow, what a *******. His mission should be to win games. Glad he never came here.

Am I the only one that thought they should have thrown a horsecollar flag also? I was watching in a bar & haven't seen an up close replay, but I thought that was what the flag was for originally. Very scary hit though.

When I re-watched the game, it looked like it live but after a couple of times replaying I think it was more of a case where he got grabbed by the side of his helmet or possibly got a finger or two in the earhole (hate when that happens). Still not quite sure but his head seemed to go sideways down ear-to-shoulder.

Refs on the whole were good though

It's probably best he didn't come here. He wouldn't have played over Knott or Klein, and if he was a MLB, he wouldn't get on the field all that much with our defense.

Edit: I did like his last tweet 20 hrs ago: "Hey Iowa State remember me?" lol. OWNED.

I thought the same thing. He should have been ejected. I couldn't believe he didn't get kicked out.

There was a game earlier in the day - out on the east coast...but some kid was kicked out after a helmet-to-helment hit on a defenseless guy catching a punt. He put his hand up and everything.....only to have the guy aim with his helmet right into his facemask....

At least they threw the flag
\

All I noticed was how long it took for them to throw the flag. For a split second there I thought we might get Rockin' Rhoads Volume 2. Maybe I was just drinking too much, but did it seem to anyone else like a very late flag?
