Watching our guys out there on senior night without Fred made me sick inside. I can't help but feel like the magic left with Fred.

And I know that's totally unfair to coach Prohm.

2 home losses isn't that bad... Especially considering we lost Long, and whatever happened with McKay and Cooke setting them back. Besides that, the team was already set back from what it should have been as Fred waited so long in the offseason to leave, and we couldn't pick up a transfer like we would have had he stayed or left earlier.

It's more than that, though. Look at the quality of player Fred brought in. Quality on and off the court. There's just NO WAY Prohm can duplicate the past 4 years. Iowa State basketball was so much fun. It'll never be the same.

Fred got to one Sweet 16, had zero conference titles and picked up a couple conference tournament titles - not exactly an impossible feat to overcome that level of success.

Selective memory at its best.

Sorry to be such a downer. No,I don't think I have a selective memory. We've had a great run these past 5 years. It's just going to be next to impossible for Prohm to sustain.

You're an idiot. Prohm got here late, how's he supposed to get quality recruits? He hasn't even been here a year yet.

As long as CSP doesn't want the Gopher's job, I'm 100% behind the guy who wants to be at Iowa State.

There's 7 out of 10 Big12 teams going to the tournament. It's not going to be hard to win enough games to keep it up.

He's already got a deeper team next year than the one Fred left him. As it stands now there isn't the top end talent, but there are guys who can play D and Prohm will win games by not allowing as many points with his guys.

Prohms record is 125-38, we are fine.

Did u watch senior night? The records Niang had. Those type of players... (people!) Don't grow on trees. Fred brought them here. They are great cyclones! I don't take what fred did for granted. It was truly a remarkable era of cyclone basketball. Just sad to see it ending.

might be a contender for worst post on CF. No way Prohm can match the quality on OR OFF the court? These guys have been fun to watch and Fred brought a LOT back in terms of success and excitement on the court. But many of these guys, in particular some of the transfers were not exactly role models off the court. Nor will they be considered all-timers. Probably never see many of them in Ames again.

I have confidence in Coach Prohm to reach new levels both on and even more so off the court.
