Dilemma....help

Wife gave me permission to go to KC, problem is none of my friends can go. I even resorted to asking my father-in-law to no avail. I really want to go so what I am asking is should I just drive down by myself or stay home? I do have an old high school buddy down there but he is committed to the Nascar races all weekend.

and join someone elses tailgate. if you bring your own beer you won't look like (or be) a mooch, and you can even shed a few brews for your hosts. you'll meet new people and probably come away with one or two you can call up in the future if this ever happens again.

I live over 2 hrs away from Ames...I drive up by myself all the time. This is really not much different. Go to the game..it's a no brainer. As a plus I think the weather is supposed to be a lot better in KC. Might as well get out of this Iowa crap.
