So I have that already as I just purchased off of Craigslist here in Des Moines. Trying to get the tech to let me keep my old DVR so I can activate it for tailgating.

The only receiver that will work for that is an H24 or HR24 without the SWM kit. If the tech cant offer that to you I would recommend calling AVS Concepts in Grimes as they are a distributor for Winegard and they may be able to help you. Very easy setup and eliminates the pain of dish pointing.

We decided this morning to go with the Dish Tailgater and have a guaranteed picture for Gameday and the game itself.

Just did the same - Dish Tailgater with a Wally receiver. Easy to hook up and can cancel your subscription whenever you want. Tailgate City baby!

I don't believe this works well with Dish anymore. As far as just the standard Carryout model because Winegard detects the wrong coordinates for a satellite signal. It still works great with Direct Tv but you either need an H24 receiver ($140) on Winegards site or a SWM multiswitch kit which I would not recommend as its a pain to hook everything up and you have 100 different cables running everywhere.
Any idea what the setup is for the Winegard Carryout and H24 receiver? Cant get this to work but didnt have any issues with the H21 receiver earlier in the year. I sent an email to Winegard as well but havent heard back.

Update: Appears the Winegard was not aligning correctly as I took the dome off and dish was not pointing correct direction. Cycled the power on/off a few times and dish aligned correctly. H24 receiver setup was 18” Round LNB | None | Multi Switch.
