In spite of iy all, there are about 300 other division 1 teams that would have traded places with us.
Number 2, they were WAY quicker than us. Watson has the speed to have kept up. No idea why he didnt at least get a look. Two lesser mind-boggling questions come to mind on the season:
1. Why is Milan so inconsistent shooting? He'll bury them one game and the same wide open shots the next game, he'll miss and keep missing. Watching other teams, their sharpshooters rarely miss wide open shots.
2. What did Watson do to piss off TJ? I don't get why he didn't get any run all season. The topper was yesterday when nobody guarded anybody and guys looked worn down or defeated. A fresh off the bench guy, a guy who can defend forwards and guards, could have helped. Somebody like Watson comes to mind.
Williams and Blum are doing a podcast today. I hope they touch on any insight on Watson.
I don't mean 9 or 10 the whole game every game. But play the 9th and maybe the 10th guy here in there all season. Maybe 7-8 minutes a game. Maybe a little more depending on the situation. Not just the first couple of pay games against the Miss Valley States. Watson would've made it a 9 man rotation. He was good enough to play in every game this season.
There's a massive difference between "donate to the school you love" vs "if you don't donate the world is going to end." Guess which one is the majority of comments about the NIL?you 1000% are doing enough. But whining about the money asks is getting old from everyone. Would you honestly rather the alternative of us not having a payroll?
I wonder if it was the same thing as when our 20? FB team (year after the fiesta) lost the first conference game. They came back to play in the playoffs and it was all a no go at that point. Losing to AZ that day, pretty much sealed the conference from us and put doubt into them.Something in this team broke when that 50 footer dropped in Tucson.
all fair - if we field winless teams with a $0 payroll, I'm sure you'd be complaining even louder. I dont know, they looked terrible against a completely overmatched ASU team 2 days before that. That's the game I really started to worry about them.Something in this team broke when that 50 footer dropped in Tucson.
Wait until a Boone Pickens type guy has a billion for his school... Well never compete.all fair - if we field winless teams with a $0 payroll, I'm sure you'd be complaining even louder. Sometimes you've gotta pick your poison my man

My church specifically told me....again...not to do this on Sunday Mornings anymore.Bunch of little ******* around here. Didn’t get to the goal of a sweet 16. Disappointment sure, whatever. not gonna take my pants off and go outside and start crying. Wasn’t that bad.
They can't do that without an anti-trust exemption and collective bargaining.Wait until a Boone Pickens type guy has a billion for his school... Well never compete.
NCAA needs schools to pay and sign contracts, like every other sports league. I don't recall the Vikings it Twins asking me to donate to players
My post mortem take is this bball season is rather comparable to the 2021 fb season. Sky high expections/ ranked high early. Some good / fun wins but never had it all click, especially when it mattered most. Final result well short of expectations.I wonder if it was the same thing as when our 20? FB team (year after the fiesta) lost the first conference game. They came back to play in the playoffs and it was all a no go at that point. Heise really did play well down the stretch. 3-3 from 3 last game. His problem has always been he doesn't shoot enoughI thought we played really well in Arizona, considering the home crowd was insane. What broke the team after that was the turnovers and lack of a fast break. Seemed like we had 3 on 1 fast break 2 or 3 times and screwed it up. Other games after that we were rarely did a fast break. Lack of fast break brought in the half court slog fest which resulted in Gilbert trying to drive through 3 guys and others doing too much.
On a positive, Heise came around and was playing his best ball at the end.
He ended up being almost 41% from 3 for the season. Bravo to him cause at one point he had to be wondering if he'd break 20%Heise really did play well down the stretch. 3-3 from 3 last game. His problem has always been he doesn't shoot enough![]()
Allowing the players to unionize is going to have to be part of the agreement. But rules have to be put into place, because this Wild West attitude is to going to be going on forever. I would think that after the $20 million per school starts rolling out, then conferences or schools will turn to NIL to determine just what role they will have going forward. The playing field needs to be leveled and every school needs to know the rules. They can't do that without an anti-trust exemption and collective bargaining.
Like I said, that’s the way things are so either accept it or get ready for some god awful teams playing for freeWait until a Boone Pickens type guy has a billion for his school... Well never compete.
