Dish vs. Direct

Way worth it. Dish > Direct.
I just switched from Dish to Direct though to save $35/mo. Direct isn't bad, just prefer Dish.

There are a few threads with lots of information on comparing the two already. In my experience, there are pros & cons of both. I've had both and am currently (and plan on remaining) a Dish customer.
Nothing from Direct was important enough to me to pay the extra $$$. I really like Dish and the whole home DVR (Hopper) is awesome!

It really depends what you are looking for. I've been extremely happen with Dish. The Hopper is awesome, and the auto-hop function is absolutely incredible. But if you watch a lot of nfl football and want the NFL sunday ticket, its only available on Directv. As far as cyclone coverage goes, I think for the most part it is pretty equal. Dish does not get the FCS channel, but lets all pray we never end up on that channel ever again.
I recently switched from Dish to Direct and I am regretting the switch, other then Sunday Ticket. The guide is so slow it's almost unbearable. Plus they stick all those pay-per-view channels right in the middle so you have to scroll through them all the time. I'm going to stick with Direct until my promotion runs out then I'm going back to Dish and the hopper.
I can only speak of my experience with Dish. Their customer service has been exemplary any time I've had an issue. Their dual tuner receivers are outstanding! DVR service is good too. I've had nothing but a good experience with them.
