Our last 4 previous coaches have averaged a tenure of exactly 4 years each. Next year is CFH's 4th year. Anyone worried about "the 4 year curse"?:twitcy:

The greatness of the Hoiberg hire is that I doubt he will leave for any other college program. That's rare at a place like Iowa State. I do think he may eventually leave for the NBA but I don't think it will be until he wins big at ISU.

I don't think Hoiberg will leave for the NBA simply because he has it all here. Hell, he had a pretty good job in the NBA as is.

Fred Hoiberg and CPR show up to your restaurant at the same time with a recruit in tow. You only have one table open, and its a table for two? What do you do?

I think Fred is here for awhile like a long time, do not see him bolting for the NBA anytime soon. Comfortable living here in little ol Ames Iowa. He wanted this and Pollard gave him his shot to coach here like he wanted to do. Ames is a good place for good coaches its not like we expect a lot here, but still want to win and get to that next level would be great. Family, friends, good community with good schools a win win.

Impossible. All Ames restaurants have permanent reserved tables for CPR and CFH.

edit - and Dreamy pushed for the job here before he got it all while working in the NBA. This isn't a stepping stone to anywhere. If he wanted to stay in the NBA he could have his way anywhere eventually.

Remember, he wanted us before we wanted him.

Seems obvious... I make my newest employee be a bench for CFH to sit on.

I see Fred leaving for the NBA after he has a season where his team is one of the best in college basketball. I don't see him having a top 10 team nationally next season, so I wouldn't worry. If he does leave for the NBA though, I think Otzelberger is probably the obvious replacement.
